So, I have a T-shirt up on Threadless. I entered it for their “Threadless loves clever” competition and it’s based on one of the designs I did in the early days of this here blog. Anyhow, if you’re a threadless-er and you like it, please stop by and score it. Thank you muchly.

Aerosol & Acrylic on wood, 2011
Last year’s birthday art surprise for my awesome boyfriend. Skateboards + hot sauce + outer space + roller coasters = rad-topia.
Oil on wood, 2010*
*Computer clean-up in progress, random forgotten art stuffs rescued from pixely graves like 30 folders deep…all basically named the same thing. Dear me, please please get better at file management. It doesn’t have to mean you’re grown up, just maybe less wanting to rip eyeballs off when trying to excavate anything from the depths of mac-land.
¡Hola! Left Barcelona after 2 great weeks and cruised down the coast toward Valencia, then cut inland en route to Granada which is where I am now - about 80 km west in a small town called Valor. It’s tucked in a valley on the southern border of the Sierra Nevada mountains, some of which tower at 10 000 feet.
This country is bananas - in landscape, culture and art. Outside of Barcelona I continue to stumble upon crazy good work around just about every corner. Tunnels packed with incredible pieces, narrow alleys doubling as galleries, super clever jokes and crafty little post ups have been a total friggin delight. In Valencia I recognized pieces by Escif and Blu, two of the most amazing muralists on the planet and both way up there on my personal awesome list. Although some of the work is signed, much of it is a total mystery and if anyone should be able to put a name to a piece, please let me know so I can tag it up.
People sure love to paint on any surface possible and decorate their surroundings in Spain, even rural highways are splattered with tags on busted up houses, shacks, buildings that were who-knows-what who-knows-how-long-ago. Really amazing how it manages to contrast and integrate with the land. Enjoy the rest of the lot, about a week or so left in Spain then on to Copenhagen, Denmark for more treasure hunting…
